Feeling Christmasy

The flatmates and I decided to decorate the flat last night so we made some little things with whatever we could find and now it looks like a proper home :) can't wait for the 25th!

After taking about an hour to untangle the lights, we noticed 4 of the strings weren't working :(  They went up anyway!

It's the GSA Christmas Shop and we are selling items to raise money for the New Designers Fair in 2012... I made some velvet turban/ headbands- think I have an obsession with velvet :S

Leftover bits of velvet from the headbands so I've made some wee cards :) You might be lucky and receive one...

Ock Pop Tok- Textile village

We went along to visit the textile design crafts centre where they grow and dye their own cotton threads, weave and use batik...

My Summer Travels

I went travelling through Thailand and across to Laos this Summer! Met amazing people, ate delicious food , visited spectacular places AND faced my fear of dogs head on (although I had no choice... they are EVERYWHERE) I've decided I'm going to focus my 4th year project on the pattern, adornment and decorative aspects within Asian culture just so that I can pretend i'm still there :( Here's a selection of photos...
